Spain’s security services are stepping up their preparedness to deal with artificial intelligence attacks by hostile states. High-ranking military officers and intelligence services admitted the likelihood of such attacks was increasing at a cyber defence conference organised by Google in Malaga Spain has three agencies that specialise in cyber security – the National Cybersecurity Institute (NCI), the Joint Cyber Defence Command (JCDC) and the National Cryptological Centre (NCC). The Triple Lock is a system which sees those on the state pension handed an increase in their pension benefits payments every year in order to protect against the impact of inflation. Keir Starmer has warned Britons in Lebanon to “leave immediately” amid escalating violence in the Middle Eastern country. In total, 700 UK troops have been scrambled to nearby Cyprus in case an emergency evacuation is necessary. Ryanair has warned passengers that several flights to popular destinations in Italy scheduled for today (Tuesday, September 24) have been cancelled.  The budget airline made the announcement yesterday.  The drastic measure has been employed because of strikes at various Italian airports. Rome, Venice and Bologna, Milan are among the cities where industrial action is taking place.  Ground security personnel and baggage handlers at the tourism hotspot’s areas downed tools and walked out last night.  The strike has the potential to cause significant disruptions to airport operations. Travellers should expect delays and cancellations during this period. Argentina has sparked fresh fears of land grab over a potential threat to the country’s sovereignty in the Falklands and surrounding seas.
