West London school fire live as teenager arrested after 70 firefighters tackle blaze | UK | News


London Fire Brigade has rushed to a school fire in Fulham, which has seen its atrium alight. A boy, 16, has been arrested on suspicion of arson, according to the Metropolitan Police

In a statement, the brigade said it was called to the scene of The London Oratory School at around 10.15am, with crews from Fulham, Chelsea, Kensington, Wansdworth, Hammersmith, Clapham, Lambeth and Soho fire stations are in attendance.

The brigade added that the cause of the fire was so far unknown.

The school is described on its website as “amongst the City’s most prestigious Roman Catholic schools”.

Local MP, Greg Hands, said he was “concerned about this situation” and is “in touch with police”.
