By 1945, the town was left in ruins, with 80% of its buildings destroyed and its population falling to just 3,000 after German residents fled or were expelled.

Today, Kolobrzeg has been transformed into a thriving resort town. 

Visitors are drawn to its pristine beaches and restorative spa facilities, but for those seeking a break from the shoreline, the town has plenty more to offer.
