Russia missile attack leaves 49 dead in Ukraine as Zelensky condemns ‘brutal crime’ | World | News


Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky has said that at least 49 people have been killed in the east of the country after a Russian missile struck a grocery store.

A six-year-old boy is believed to be among the victims.

The Governor of the Kharkiv region Oleh Synehubov has stated that a cafe and shop were hit in the village of Hroza

Writing on Telegram he said: “The rescuers continue to work on the site.”

Synehubov noted that the area had been packed with people at the time of the attack.
