We’ve reached day 12 of the 2024 Paris Olympics and the action is already underway. The marathon mixed race walk, a new event, has replaced the individual 50km race, and started at 6.30am this morning.

There are more Team GB medal hopes in action today. Sailor Micky Beckett lies in fourth place ahead of the medal race in the men’s dinghy category, and John Gimson and Anna Burnet go in mixed multihull gold medal race.

In the track cycling men’s team pursuit final, the quartet of Ethan Hayter, Ollie Wood, Ethan Vernon and Charlie Tanfield will take on Australia, while the track and field action continues. There has also been further boxing fallout, after Imane Khelif defied her critics to make the women’s 66kg final.
