M5 and M6 traffic LIVE: Major motorway shut after horror crash – drive | UK | News

Police are at the scene of a major “police incident” on the M5 in the West Midlands – with traffic snaking back for miles.

National Highways has warned people to expect delays with south link roads closed from the M6 to the M5.

In a tweet on X, it said: ” The #M5 north to the #M6 north and the #M6 south to the #M5 south link roads are now CLOSED.

“This is due to an ongoing Police incident. Traffic officers are on scene. There 60 minute delays on the M5 northbound and 4 miles of congestion.”

It is not currently known how many cars are involved and whether anyone has been hurt.

West Midlands Ambulace Service said it had not been called to assist.
