British tourists in Germany have been issued a fresh alert as new updates regarding border controls have been released. The Ministry has announced the temporary reinstatement of border controls at Germany’s land borders with France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark for a six-month period, starting from September 16, 2024. From this date, border checks may occur at all of Germany’s land borders. Meanwhile, controls at the border with Austria will continue until November 11, 2024. Holidaymakers traveling to Greece are likely to experience plunging temperatures, as the latest weather maps indicate it will be hit by a severe cold snap. Weather maps from WXCharts show the popular holiday destination may see temperatures plummeting to as low as 11C on in northern parts of the country on the morning of October 17. The Parliamentary Ombudsman is to launch a full investigation into seven cases, which could result in hundreds of millions of pounds of arrears being paid out if successful. A man has been rushed to hospital following a horrific daytime stabbing at East Croydon Station in London.  The attack took place on George Street and a police cordon has been set up in the area.  London Tramlink services between East Croydon and Reeves Corner were suspended as officers investigated the scene.  Paramedics arrived on the scene within five minutes of the incident occurring and took the victim to a major trauma centre “as a priority”.  London Ambulance Service said in a statement: “We were called at 1.53pm today (Tuesday 1 October) to reports of an incident in George Street, ...
