Lesley-Ann Jones shares her memories of the late Christine McVie | Music | Entertainment

Christine McVie reminisces about Fleetwood Mac in 2017 We stood with our backs to the kitchen wall at somebody’s New Year’s Eve party in Los Angeles. “The older you get, the quieter you become,” reflected Christine McVie, clutching a crystal flute of champagne but not sipping a drop. Suddenly, she crossed the room to tip hers in the sink, then re-joined me at the edge of the fray. Seizing my glass, she gulped it in one, then fell about, cackling. It was a jokey nod to her heavy drinking. “Life humbles you bit by bit,” the Fleetwood Mac singer, songwriter ... Read more

The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Live at LA Forum 1969 – A Show of Shaman Power | Music | Entertainment

This raw performance starts with a quick hello from Jimi in his familiar drawl, while he tunes his guitar. It is amazing to think that this is the start of such a seminal show. Eddie Kramer, Jimi’s long term producer and sound engineer, shared that this was usual for him, with a spartan crew of just 3 tech guys, he would just stroll up and tune his guitar and play in his own effortless way. The album features all of Jimi’s classics – Purple Haze, Voodoo Child, Foxy Lady – and is mixed with less known tracks such as Tax ... Read more

Elvis Presley’s home of Graceland has been open for public tours for the last 40 years. However, to this day, his private upstairs area remains off-limits, just as was the case during his lifetime. When The King moved into the mansion in 1957, he had a privacy wall with one-way mirrors installed on the first-floor landing for security and privacy purposes. Elvis’ inner circle, the Memphis Mafia, had free rein of Graceland, but they had to be personally invited by The King if they were to venture upstairs. Located up there was the star’s bedroom, ensuite bathroom, dressing room and ... Read more

Baz previously told Radio Times: “I would have liked to lean into some of the other things more. There’s so much more.
