On Monday, a magazine called America published an interview with Pope Francis about the war in Ukraine. During the interview, the Pope said the “cruellest” Russian soldiers were generally Chechens and Buryats. The Pope said: “Generally, the cruellest are perhaps those who are of Russia but are not of the Russian tradition, such as the Chechens, the Buryats and so on.” He added that “the one who invades is the Russian state”. Queen Consort Camilla has broken royal tradition in an attempt to appear more modern, according to a royal expert. Writing for BAZAAR, Omid Scobie, author of Finding Freedom, said that the Duchess of Cornwall had decided not to appoint any ladies in waiting. Buckingham Palace sources have revealed that the Duchess has instead appointed six of her closest friends to be “Queen’s companions” in a newly created role.
